Kestrel: first look from the test range
Kestrel's project page now has eight screenshots from the test range. They're the first public look at the tool, taken from a build that's still in testing.
What the screens show:
- Link: the connection screen, with the connection method, status checks and the drones in the mission.
- Targets: an infrared sensor view, with detected ground targets listed by priority.
- Lasing: a narrow-field track on a target with the laser on.
- Move: a tactical map of known enemy areas, with altitude and orbit controls.
- Launch: drones on the ground, a recon task and the mission timeline.
- Recon area: choosing a recon area from enemy areas sorted by threat level.
- On station: a drone on station over the recon area.
- Kneeboard: the kneeboard view, with drone status, the active laser, the target list and hotkeys.
Kestrel is still in testing, so anything shown here can change before release. It's planned for 2026.
